![]() ![]() I wasn't doing anything other than working in Word on a document & I didn't install anything new when this first occurred. The alternative keyboard shortcuts for copy, cut & paste - ctrl+ins, shift+del, & shift+ins all work fine in Word, Excel, Notepad. The ctrl key itself works fine, & the "v" key works fine, I don't think there is a keyboard failure, just a selective failure of ctrl+v in Word. Also, I can paste fine in Word by clicking the menu shortcut icon paste clipboard on the top margin and by viewing the clipboard itself and pasting from there by clicking the icon. The ctrl+v paste function still works fine in Notepad, and in Excel (version 2000). This only happens in Microsoft Word (version 2000). ![]() ctrl+c works fine, so do other shortcuts involving the control key. Both ctrl keys on the keyboard are affected (neither will paste). I have rebooted my computer a number of times. The ctrl+v keyboard shortcut (paste function) stopped working a few days ago. I'm looking to restore a keyboard shortcut that has stopped working suddenly.
